Hi, Here are the details behind my question. I have been talking to various clinics who 'claim' they have had success with Stem Cell Replacement Therapy. I am very concerned that this might be a waste of time and, of course, a substantial amount of money. I started on a 65 day Juice/Vegetable 'Joe Cross' diet as I had watched 'Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead 2' and a woman on there maintained that the 65 day 'ReBoot' had cured her Fibromyalgia! I only lasted 2 weeks! I lost a stone but have put it… read more
Thank you for your response. I am changing my diet. No more Diet Coke, no more sweeteners or low fat yogurts. I am cutting out anything with Aspartemin in it. It's poison. Merry Xmas from Bip
I was dx with enlarged fibroids a month after being dx with fm. Are they related in anyway? I was put on estrogen birth control and told to stay on it till I start menopause. Any ladies gone through this before or can tell me something cuz I can't find anything online about it.
Estrogen dominance can cause or contribute to fibroids. I would NOT use estrogen birth control. Risky. A bio- identical progesterone may help.
Had Gyn appt yesterday and realized that my symptoms have become much worse after coming off hormones. Divigel is a bio-identical hormone gel and I will be starting mine tomorrow. It should make a huge difference!

I am 62. I had a total hysterectomy in 1992. The cervix, everything removed. I had endometriosis and 7 tumors. I went into immediate menopause. I have always felt better when on progesterone but they kept wanting to give me estrogen /Premarin. Long long story but my breasts hurt and are full all of the time. Estrogen seems to make it worse. It seems like dairy (the hormones?) bothered me, the hormones in meat? Coffee. Imagine going to a male doctor and explaining that!!!! The solution is always… read more

Hi, has anyone tried hormone replacement therapy for fibro? Just a stab in the dark as I recently had endometrial ablation for dreadful periods making me very anaemic and the consultant also said to try hrt? I have read that it can help and just wondered if anyone has tried it?
Hello....I tried bio identical hormones. Didnt help with the pain at all. I gained 40 lbs (was taking lyrica too) and grew awful hairs on my face chin and arms.
I started drinking a soy protein smoothie every morning I get from Whole Foods. It’s a vanilla powder you can mix with any fruit you want. I typically do a banana, pb & almond milk bc I have strict… read more
My local hospital recently held 8 sessions for people with fibro. There were different health care professionals speaking....some with great information...others not so great. One doctor mentioned that studies are now showing that fibro may be caused my a chemical imbalance in the brain. I found that very interesting. Hopefully they will keep on studying and not just fluff off this illness. It was also mentioned that if you are diagnosed with fibro you should have your hormones tested. Has… read more

I have recently suffered from dizziness, to the point the other day where I thought I was going to pass out & I was driving. It's like a black wave overtook my brain. I actually went to hospital to check for brain / heart issues - none found. I told them I have fibro, they weren't very interested & finally released me with a diagnosis of low blood pressure due to my IF diet. My blood pressure has always been low & I have been on the IF diet for 2 months with no adverse side effects. I did… read more

Has anyone ever sought out help from a counselor or psychiatrist or psychologist to help deal with the depression that comes with Fibromyalgia. I've been working hard at trying to remain positive but it feels like a losing battle sometimes. My husband suggested that may be I should see someone who could possibly help me with the tools to cope.
I am pleased to say that I havn,t got to that stage! I have good consultants, great physio and lucky enough to live where this condition is taken seriously and treated well. Not sure where you are buy… read more
