We process protein at a higher rate than healthy people do, so we are always running on empty. Try eating or drinking some protein every 2-3 hours (10-20 grams), 80-100 grams throughout the day.
Lethargy is often a problem with fibromyalgia. Try giving yourself small goals throughout the day. Get out of bed, rest. Morning grooming, long rest. Next thing, rest, etc.
I feel thr same way no energy very lethargic just push yourself and rest
@A MyFibroTeam Member, there are many types of protein. I eat animal protein, assorted nuts, beans, eggs, plant protein powder. I tried going Vegan for 5 months, but the diet didn’t work for me. So basically any form of protein will work. My body just responds to animal proteins best.
I started drinking a soy protein smoothie every morning I get from Whole Foods. It’s a vanilla powder you can mix with any fruit you want. I typically do a banana, pb & almond milk bc I have strict eating restrictions bc of gastroparesis as well, but it has improved my energy significantly.
