Hi Everyone,
For years when I come home after being out I find myself sitting in my car for about an hour or more unable to move feeling exhausted and down. For a long time I thought it had to do with my PTSD but tonight I think it is due to fibro fog and fatigue??
Can anyone relate? Thank you in advance!
Hi everyone. I've just been reading all these comments. Wow I can relate to everyone of them. It's 4am here and I am up with jaw pain. I thought it's my teeth!! But now I'm thinking it's thisā¦ read more
Hi what are the do's and don't about exhaustion and fatigue. What works for you and please this cannot be a lack of vitamins, I take my vits everyday for years.
Please what do you do? Is this exhaustion and fatigue real or is in my head!!!!!!!!!!
it is definitely not in your head. I usually nod right off where I am if it is possible. Sometimes that 10min or so with my eyes closed actually helps.
Eg I donāt care about some decisions
OR I just donāt feel connected to people as strongly as usual
OR Iām upset but too tired to cry
It seems to gappen in a fibro crash that I feel so little for things and it doesnāt feel like sadness but pure exhaustion.
yes
I see lots of discussion and helpful suggestions about dealing with the pain of fibro, and I do appreciate those. However, for me the fatigue is the most debilitating part. Some days I wake up feeling decent, but just taking a shower wears me out and I need a nap.
garthdog2, I am 78. I was diagnosed 8 months ago. All I can say is that at 77, I didn't feel the way I do now as far as energy level & fatigue.
There are many ways to reach out to help, and of course the needs will change for each person. Big things like helping clean the house or cooking meals can help, but often itās the little things that are the best, like opening the door for them, or remembering not to wear perfume. Hereās a list of a few things that can help (with thanks to many other websites Iāve read similar lists on over the years):

I suffer with fatigue more than pain, or maybe I manage/cope with the pain better than I cope with the fatigue.
I have well-meaning friends who say things like āhowāre you sleepingā or āhave you tried lavender?ā... etc and I get so frustrated that people donāt understand, itās irrelivant how much sleep Iāve had, it does not refresh me and Iām still fatigued, day in, day out, no matter what I do or donāt do.

Can I please call on your wealth of experience and knowledge when I ask you what natural supplements do you take? I already take magnesium, vit B & evening primrose but I am thinking more about exploring and trying others. I don't know if this is the best approach to take, but I reckon if anyone can/will give me honesty in their answers, it's all of you. Right now I am open to all suggestions about supplements (I shall be exploring therapies another time, fairy steps). Thank you x
