Acupuncture
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Can I find a acupuncturist somewhere near Anderson, SC? My back throbs all the time.

A MyFibroTeam Member

I have just paid £200 for acupuncture just going for my second of 7 sessions .Hope it does something. He massaged my arms and hands which felt good .I will try anything for the pain I'm in .

Alternative To Heating Pads
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Most of my pain is in my back (and really really bad periods) so i use my heating pad religiously... however it has started to burn my skin. to the point my back is always blotchy and a heating pad is not pleasant to use. I cannot use ice because it just makes me stiffen up more and causes a flare. What would be some good alternatives? I do love hot baths as well but they just aren't practical between work and all of my homework.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Only limited success I had so far was with my chiro adjustments, limited stretches (like inverted cross for back), and limited exercise.

You can also try a tens unit.

Pregnancy With Fibromyalgia
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago, I really worried about how I’m going to deal with the pregnancy. I came of all medication once I found out and I’ve been in pain since, not sleeping and just feeling exhausted. I know pregnancy in general makes you feel like crap but some days I’ve been in tears with the pain! Just wanted to see how others who have had a pregnancy with Fibro have coped.

Many thanks xx

I've been fighting a cold and bronchitis, but sometimes I get lightheaded even when I haven't been coughing. What seems weird to me, is that it only started over the last week or two.

Does Anyone Know Anything About Lyrica?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm still waiting for my neurologist to make a diagnosis, currently she is just considering this as a likely dx for my symptoms. I know at my next appt if she decides this fits she is going to recommend Lyrica as the treatment. I would like to have some information before I just agree to take another drug. Already talking one for pain and another one for tremors and muscle spasms. Does anyone have experience with this medication?
