Does Anyone Know Anything About Lyrica?
I'm still waiting for my neurologist to make a diagnosis, currently she is just considering this as a likely dx for my symptoms. I know at my next appt if she decides this fits she is going to recommend Lyrica as the treatment. I would like to have some information before I just agree to take another drug. Already talking one for pain and another one for tremors and muscle spasms. Does anyone have experience with this medication?
I have been on lyrica for years. The only negative is the weight gain for me. I am not willing to give up the medication as it has changed my life for the better. As of right now i am able to work almost full-time and it has helped with a lot of my more severe symptoms. I needed a walker prior to lyrica. I hate the weight gain, but its that or back to the pain i endured, and im not going back there. I am still in daily pain, but i remember how bad it could be.
Thanks, me too.... I'm so not a fan of medication but realize it's the only thing keeping me going right now. The pain would be intolerable without it and I've always had a really high pain tolerance. This is so different though, weeks now of constant non stop pain. I feel for all the young people out there with this.
Sometimes if I can get the pain under control enough during a flare, the Lyrica is enough to push me forward to be able to get moving. It doesnβt always work. There are just days the CFS completely takes over. Everyone is different. I hope you can find what helps you.ππ»π¦π
Lyrica was the first medication they tried me on the people at my work thought I was having a stroke. It affected my brain and a horrible way like I was like basically completely gone mentally and punching numbers in my computer that made no sense. I quit taking it immediately, Iβve heard some people have different reactions, but Lyrica and simbota did the same thing for me. Nothing at all, but make me a bigger mental case.
I had severe reactions with blurred vision and became suicidal on Lyrica so was taken off it within days and it's now listed among allergies for me. Hopefully no one else has such experience
