Does anyone w/ GERD find they have to eat smaller bites of food and chew it more throughouly?
Gosh a lot of us have gerd. I take pantoprazole. I also eat gluten free and try to stick to a low fodmap diet. I also have ibs (another symptom of fm). My last endoscopy showed Barrett’s esophagus.

Yes, I do but only when I eat certain foods.
Just wondering if others of you have this and if so--what works to deal with it. For the last month or so, I've been getting bad cases of vertigo especially if I turn my neck too fast and it was stiff to begin with (which is almost daily). I see my dr next month for my regular checkup so I did some checking on my own and seems that vertigo can be caused by the trigger points in your neck when you have lots of pain there. So this is another new 'gift' from my fibro . Any ideas?

.Does anyone else have GERD or reflux. I am experiencing this after I go to bed and anywhere from 3 AM to 5 AM I begin experiencing excessive salivation, and or reflux to the point my husband says it sounds like I am drowning. I also begin coughing. I am currently on Prilosec 40 mg and it does not seem to be helping. This occurs almost every night to some degree. I have woke up feeling like I am drowning. Actually not much. I do have a lapband that he insisted I have deflated. Since then it has been just wait. I go Monday for my repeat cat scan and get results Thursday. I hope that has helped… read more
My daughter also has fibro and she gets this lump in her thoat about the size of a golf ball and it is really bothersome, does any one else get this? And has your doctorsaid anythingabout it.?

Does anyone have alot of small burps and feel like they need to burp alot through out the day..more after I drink something..
Also, I have GERD. Omeprazole helps with reflux.
So when I started the effexor I started getting Acid reflux. I went n bought anti acid n take it twice a day. But I'm still getting it and now it's everything I drink or eat. It also feels like a sore throat.
Any suggestions on what to do other then stopping the effexor.

Your throats hurting from the acid burning it. Definitely need to sort that out before you get some damage.
I'm allergic to Effexor, hives and chest pains.
I also from irritable bowel and Gerd I use Slippery Elm and find it reliefs some of the symptoms
