I've have IBS, Chronic gastritis. eosinophilic esophagitis & GERD for years. After I started getting Fibro symptoms the stomach issues worsened. The fibro has started affecting the nerves in my stomach and have caused me to have non-functional dyspepsia. According to my gastro this is when your stomach no longer functions correctly due to the nerve & damage. It causes nausea, burning, throwing up, GERD, pain, motility issues, etc. Right now I have been having some very bad issues. For the last couple months or more at least one day a week i will be nausious & will throw up. I'll then have a day or so of very sensitive stomach. I actually just spoke to the gastro on call with the practice that I go to. I was asked to call first thing tomorrow & arrange to go in & see either my dr or his PA tomorrow.
Until then I will take what he has given me for less severe symptoms. Carafate (usually prescribed for ulcer patients), gavascon, fenagrin. I will also take my maintenance meds of prescription strength omeprizole & over the counter pepcid twice a day and Cymbalta. Oh a hot water bottle or heating pad on a gentle heat helps settle my stomach pain...its just a thought...
Gentle Hugs

Unfortunately if you are taking too much & every day any NSAID (motrin, advil, aleve..) you will have that stomach burn & if you have GERD (acid reflux) you are more prone to have the burning symptoms. Advil works better for me when I have a fibro flare but I can’t take it because I have chronic gastritis from all NSAID that I took in my life for the migraines. I wish they can come out soon with some kind of drug administer intramuscular so we don’t have to take so many pills. If you have to take any NSAID put on board some med for acid reflux & always take them with food. Good luck.
Yes, I did for many years, then got tested. I have gastric esophageal reflux disease and take Dexilant for it. It's the only med that works for me. All the others failed.
Yes, I do but only when I eat certain foods.
Yes but that was a side effect of the Mobic I was taking it's gotten better since I stopped
