Does anyone w/ GERD find they have to eat smaller bites of food and chew it more throughouly?
I took a pharmacology class for my continuing education for nursing about long term use of Omeprazole, zantac...it kills all the good bacteria in your colon and can cause you to have a C-diff infection...also disrupts your bodies ability to absorb calcium which is vital for the heart to work properly..amongst other complications..those are the big ones. I avoid eating late at night avoid drinking alcohol, coffee, soda, avoid eating spicy foods try and keep my weight down.
Gosh a lot of us have gerd. I take pantoprazole. I also eat gluten free and try to stick to a low fodmap diet. I also have ibs (another symptom of fm). My last endoscopy showed Barrettโs esophagus.
I wonder if itโs all the medicine we take or just more symptoms of fm. My doctor said no nsaids. He wants to do a mobility study but itโs done at a teaching hospital a couple hours away. So Iโm stalling.
Please make sure your doctor is monitoring it. It can lead to more serious problems. Use the suggestions our team offers. Best of luck and feel better soon.๐๐ป๐ฆ๐ผ

I am trying Orange Burps for GERD, it has helped. It contains D-Limonine from orange rind. The name is fitting, you will have orange flavored burps, but it helps with the burn a lot.
Yes, & I dont always follow that & pay for it later.
