Have any of you had success with a Neurologist? Much research points to our Central Nervous & "sub category" systems as playing a huge role in FMS, explaining how pain processing, immune system, digestive tract, multiple organs, etc. can be compromised & NOT work properly
Has the Neurologist done specific testing? Has she/he set you on a path that your GP or Rheumatologists have not?
The Rheumatologist in my medical group doesn't treat FMS, as it's no longer considered an autoimmune… read more

Hi! I'm being followed for possible lupus (to go with my fibro), but I read (on the link below) that people with fibro also can get a lacy type rash from sun exposure, and not just people with lupus. Anybody else get this? Here's a link for more info. http://www.patienthelp.org/diseases-conditions/...
Thanks, @A MyFibroTeam Member. My blood work is confusing. ANA 640, and the only other factor is my anti-histone anitbodies which are high. But those represent drug induced lupus, except I'm not… read more

I have started a nightshade elimination diet a week ago, and despite some painful days after being active, there seemed to be a positive change. A week doesn't give me any sure conclusions, but had less heartburn, fog, and arthritis. Last night a roommate made oxtail soup, and I asked him if it had any nightshades and he said no. After eating a good bit of it he mentioned the peppers he used and I realized my diet regimen was blown
Today my back is completely stiff and arthritic and… read more
I avoided nightshades for a while but it did nothing. I love alot of them and use them to roast because of my diabetic gastropareisis. Makes no difference for me.
My wife was just diagnosed with Fibro and we love to travel. She is concerned her travel may have to be curtailed.
Its easier when we drive because we can go at our own pace. If you fly and take pain meds, make sure you have them with you on the plane. I always take an extra one before we get on the plane and do… read more
I can't sleep at night at all, so during the day I and very sleepy and find myself waking up without remembering falling asleep. I slept from 7am to 7pm! I have no idea! I could not keep myself awake. Does anyone have this?
you may have sleep apnea. You could be low in iron and B-12, bloodwork would tell the doctor what you need. Rhuematologist could tell you
I sleep with a heated mattress cover and it’s helped. Especially if I heat the bed first.
I have been monitoring my sleep since boxing day 2018 and have found on average I achieve 45min- 1h15min a night, an 1hr REM and the rest is diffused through mostly light sleep and waking on average. However if I nap I can achieve up to 3hrs of deep sleep. Im not sure if this is medications but I was an insomniac as early as grade 9 or 10. And i was always a light sleeper. I ask because I would like to know if this is more then just medications. I wish to how we all sleep if they do just blame… read more
