Sleeping All Day
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I can't sleep at night at all, so during the day I and very sleepy and find myself waking up without remembering falling asleep. I slept from 7am to 7pm! I have no idea! I could not keep myself awake. Does anyone have this?

Teammates: I went on to the site WebMD and found some info re: symptoms including insomnia vs sleep. Not good news. From what I can tell, FM is like taking an electrical cord apart and finding it is just a twist of several wires, each that does something else. In other words, at this point, I think it just indicates that FMS is a poor-wiring job (lol). Seriously, everything I have read so far mentions the typical litancy of symptoms of likely symptoms, possible causes (tho' not all), and some patronizing ideas for care and treatment of. . . I am determined to dissect this condition--if it's the last thing I do--and learn how to best treat each symptom without negative interaction or neglect of others. I have learned more from others on this community than any published work from the med profession--which seems to be a series of opinions and contradictions. I don't give up easy. Today was one of those days when I slept all day (and yesterday) and became angry that I am missing life. I am even more determined than ever to bring some quality to my good days and more good days to my life! Wish and pray the same for us all! Keep the support coming! Love you all and Hugs!--J

i have came to find out that lupus and fibro seem to have some of the same factors 95 % or more have been tested for lupus end up , having having fibro ! but yes it is always best to be tested ! some DR'S . OR AT LEAST THE ONES WHO CARE WILL TEST YOU ! AS I SAID I USE TO BE A NURSE UNTIL I STARTED HAVING SEIZURES ! if you go into the DR'S office and say that a family member or a friend has the the same problems as you and they had lupus or that it runs in your family ,and then they will test you for it ! just giving you some advise .you do not have to take it ! here's praying you the best of health and sending you peace, joy and happiness ! always michele

Yes I often get the urge to nap which turns into a long sleep but I don,t feel refreshed after, maybe your medication is having this effect? Sleep depravasion is a big issue with fibro CFS and M.E

Get an attorney. It's about the only way to get disability. That's what I had to do after being turned down 2-3 times. With attorney, got it the first time.
