I belong to other groups for Fibro that are all male. Are there any men in this group? I like to get different perspectives.
Remember to check the names of doctors on the AAPM directory for the names of Dr's in your area.
I have had fibromyalgia for about 4 years, that i know of and i honestly feel it has progressed recently. I have somewhat noticed a change and just a little confused. I have noticed that while areas of my body hurts, my pain is more severe in one area more so than the others. For instance, my shoulder is killing me and the pain runs down my arm and i swear my forearm is swollen. The doctor i saw said fibromyalgia is not pain specific, but she can't find anything else wrong. I'm just… read more
My pain is often specific and I feel has progressed as well. There is still so much that doctors don’t know about fibromyalgia so it’s hard to take their word as truth. Everyone’s pain/issues are… read more
Finally someone talking about the buzzing. I get the buzzing in my neck, shoulders, down my spine and my left arm and leg. I even feel it/hear it in my head. It is a fine white noise that I hear when… read more
Look…I'm about to be real blunt here...I'm single and have also had a very hard time dating a man or even going out. My many, MANY years of experience in trying to keep a job and trying to date with Fibro has not been successful. Most men in general do not want to "care give" and if they do...by year two, they start to get resentful and start looking elsewhere. Trying to date is just too exhausting. Shaving my legs and washing my hair or even putting on make up causes more debilitating pain… read more
@A MyFibroTeam Member I literally feel your pain...physically and emotionally. Often feels like there’s no longer 2-way streets when it comes to others being willing to get to know your illness(es)… read more
And how did it affect you? Have you known anyone who's had serious side effects from the vaccine?
I can't get them due to some really bad allergic reactions to other shots. So that would be a no
Hi what do ppl take or do that helps them instead of the prescribed poison given by docs. X
I use Essential Oils. And all natural supplements
I get bad cramps sometimes and they’re not always in my legs. I get them in my hands, abdomen, breast bone and up and down my legs. The worse ones are from the top of my foot all the way up my shin bone to my knee. These usually happen at night and it doesn’t always help right away to get out of bed and stand up. They are so painful. Does anyone else have cramps?
Experienced bad cramps to both my feet during the night. They were so bad, I fell to the floor and almost lost consciousness. My kids had to call ambulance. My potassium and magnesium levels had… read more
Hi, I am diagnosed with fibro but my family still think it's all in my mind or me just being over sensitive. The thing is, I don't know if my 'pain' is as severe as many fibro sufferers. I have constant discomfort, various aches and pains, definitely the stabbing pins! But if I had to describe it I would say it feels more like an utter exhaustion and a sort of all over feeling of discomfort. I do get severe aching in my limbs on some days, and sometimes my thumb/wrist will just give out for no… read more
Maybe your family can go to your next doctor's appointment with you, I also think at some point you have to let it go and disregard what they think, as hard as that may be!!
While I mention the Y because they have year round warm water as well as a counselor who can instruct us on what exercises are best for us. Going together will keep us motivated and when we are having a bad day just being there together will help boost our self confidence. I would love to get together to do other things, the things we would choose could only be bound by our imaginations. I feel having a safe place to talk and get together would be amazing and would help us all feel better… read more
