Does Anyone Else Get "electrical Shock" Type Pain?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I get sharp electrical shock type pain in my clavicle area. Always the same place. It will last on and off for about 30 minutes. It's not horrible, but very uncomfortable. I have many different issues I deal with, but just recently began having this pain? Thoughts?

Anyone Else Get Electric Shock Feeling?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m new to the Fibro Forum and I’m so desperate for answers. Lately I’ve been getting horrible electric shocks everywhere in my body. Even in my fingers, face, lips. Normal symptom of Fibro I was told by my PCP. It’s so painful and the pain literally lasts about a second until another one comes. I’ve had all the nerve tests..all perfect. There’s no explanation for it right now. I’ve been on amitriptyline for nerve pain..hasn’t helped. Norco doesn’t knock out the pain either. At this point, I… read more

Electrical Shocks
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi! Wondering if anyone experiences electrical shocks throughout their body? I get them so badly my body actually moves on it's own. If I get one in bed, my whole body raises off the bed. Once, while drinking a glass of water I got a shock and hit the glass into my teeth. No broken teeth...that time and I hate drinking out of plastic! :)

I went to a MAPS clinic, just once...and when I told the PA about the above, using the bed as an example, I was told it was probably static electricity in… read more

Pain That Feels Like Electrical Shocks
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just wondering if anyone else experiences pain that feels like an electrical shock. Only way I can describe it is that it feels like the shock we got as kids when we touched the electric fences on the farm. Have had it happen a few times in the last few days (just in one arm).

Tickling Is Painful Instead Of Laughter-inducing?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m curious how many of us here found being tickled as a child painful instead of making us laugh. I always found being tickled to be something like torture. I still feel more pain than giggles when I am tickled. Anyone else notice this in their memories or currently?

Zapping Nerves Through The Body
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just an observation. That pain or stress appears to make my body have zapping nerve sensations. I have been doing deep breathing , pacing, making all my mornings for my time to relax by reading, watering my rose garden, stress management. The more i relax and bring out my passions of sewing etc the better my zapping nerves do. But an increase in pain a worry about my schizo affective disorder my daughter has and then the nerve zapping is unbearable. Anyone else have zapping nerves.
