Zapping Nerves Through The Body
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just an observation. That pain or stress appears to make my body have zapping nerve sensations. I have been doing deep breathing , pacing, making all my mornings for my time to relax by reading, watering my rose garden, stress management. The more i relax and bring out my passions of sewing etc the better my zapping nerves do. But an increase in pain a worry about my schizo affective disorder my daughter has and then the nerve zapping is unbearable. Anyone else have zapping nerves.

Yes i do. Mostly in my hands. Comes out of nowhere. Kind of feels like electric shock or something. Usually after that the pain is almost unbearable after.

I called this my sensory overload pain and it's so much more intense than any other pain I have. The only thing I found to settle it down, especially when it's happening in my lower legs, is counter pressure. It's not rubbing presay, more like a firm pressure applied right on the spots where the pains are happening. It was really bad before and right after my knee surgery when I couldn't get up and move or bend my leg, etc. My son has SPD also, so he knows the kind of pressure I needed to have. My husband tried, but he pressed and rubbed and it hurt! I get it in my fingers and wrists, too.

@A MyFibroTeam Member @A MyFibroTeam Member I know how that feels! I have had very strange experiences with electric shocks and zaps. Before I go on the long process of explaining all that, I wanted to tell everybody going through this that it could be your spine. ? I've been through so much but one other thing that hurts like electricity is the lympoma (not lymphoma) in my left leg. A stupid fatty mass that anyone can get from there DNA make up. What goes on in the spine goes throughout your whole body, shocking everything. My left foot is numb and hurts once in a while. Neurotically maybe?

I am in extreme pain every day now for about a month (?I give up figuring that out) First, I went to see my mother's chiropractor and he did things different than one I had seen before. This guy was thorough and took a full back and head xray and gave me a diagram to show me where my pinched nerves are and pin-point what needed work. That sweet 85 year old retired so my pcp sent me to a spine specialist. I got an MRI of my lower back. It showed I have another stinking fatty mass in a small bulge in my spine and degeneration that everyone goes through but also arthritis. I'm not sure why all this hurts so much! Thursday, I go in for injections. I'm also going to talk to another chiropractor to see if I can get anymore back cracking. have to go. 2 norco and i'm still hurt. Rafio is playing music but it's not turned on....goodnight.

My nerve endings started doing that recently. I feel like I'm being electrocuted and hurts like hell. It just came out of nowhere.
