A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I just realized that I sway when my eyes are closed. This is called a positive Romberg test. Has anyone had a neurologist say this is from fibro? I also have back issues... Thanks!

Red Hot Ears
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

This is a strange one. Yesterday evening one of my earlobes became bright red and hot to the touch. It happened so randomly. Is this more fibro fun? No new foods or new exposures.

A MyFibroTeam Member

This happened again last night, both ears, while I was relaxed and reading a book. No new allergens, not angry, totally out of the blue. My husband could feel the heat and see the redness too. So… read more

How Do You Describe It
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

This is my recent discovery on how my pain feels. My muscles are like pulled musclea, and muscle weakness. When i do things my muscles feel weak and stiff. There is very very little joint pain , sometimes my back and neck hurt but cant tell if it is muscle or bone. I feel that my muscles are tired and weak.

Involuntary Movement Of Hands And Feet
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Okay, I was lying on my side yesterday taking a rest and the hand next to my face moved by itself and smacked me awake. I woke up and felt it happen again a few minutes later. My feet also do this, without my control. Is this another version of fibromyalgia muscle spasm?

A MyFibroTeam Member

I get weird muscle spasms too, though I'm told not to worry. It can be a result of medications, or restless legs as people have said. Give it a bit of time to see if it passes. Best of luck xx

How Do You Say No?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Like, to doing stuff you know you can't due to fibro.
Ex. "Wanna go hiking with me?" "Hurry up" "Want to stay up all night?" "Want to do X right after Y?"

You just tell them your condition means that you are limited to what you can and can't do. If they get upset because of it then they aren't much of a friend. Focusing on your own well being is more of… read more

I have scoliosis at the base of my spine on the coxix (can't think how to spell that hahaha) and that causes the spasms quite badly lately. But I will. Try the tonic water. Thanks for the tip.

Does Anyone Have Any Tips For Wearing High Heels With Fibro?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I'm going to be a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding in early May and I wanted to wear some wedge heels I have (about 3 inches tall), but my calves were killing me after only wearing them for a short amount of time (my fibro pain is worst in my calves). The heels used to be decently comfortable, but I haven't worn heels at all in years. Does anyone have any tips/work arounds to make it work, or do you think I need to give up my vanity and get some flats instead? I would hate to be in too… read more
