Trying to come off Lyrica.... I haven't found this medicine to be of any use so in the midst of a visit to my GP last week about some upcoming surgery I mentioned to her that the Lyrica wasn''t working. Her response was "well stop taking it then"..... so I did. It was a particularly stressful week and I didn't even think to question her more about what to look out for and she was very casual about it. No problems until the following day when I began to feel very unwell, agitated, hot, cold… read more

Have u tried Tramadol? You have to add a panado with it. I started off with 2x100mg plus a panado twice a day. When i cut out sugars and bad carbs I have less pain and can then cut down slowly .
Yes I totally get where you’re coming from cause the same thing happened to me. I had told my doctor I was gonna go off gabapentin but then we got talking and I forgot to ask how slow to go. I was taking six a day so I dropped two the first week then a week later dropped another one. Omg did I have withdrawals!!! Shakey, nausea, sweating, diarrhea and felt horrible. Finally realized what it was and added the one back and felt better. Looked it up and you’re only supposed to go down 10% a month! I never realized how powerful this drug was and I’m happy to say I only have one pill a day to get rid of now! Not blaming my doctor cause I should have made sure I asked him how to ween off it but I was upset how much I was on once I found out how powerful it was! I’m just glad I’m almost off them completely!!
I tried to come off of cymbalta by myself, bad situation!!! I guess I was having withdrawals and then I ended up going to dr because I felt like I was having a heart attack!! I am now back on it for as long as needed and decided I no longer need to play dr about my meds!!!
Yes, it is important to wean off slowly. I found out what withdrawal symptoms were like when I tried to wean myself off of prednisone too quickly, then I discovered that those same symptoms were also fibromyalgia. I started on Cymbalta five weeks ago with no relief so far. Research on the web has shown coming off Cymbalta is pretty nasy, which has me scared because I'm not getting relief from it and may have to try something else, which means weaning off the Cymbalta.
