Members shared mixed experiences with Lyrica for fibromyalgia, with some finding significant pain relief while others reported challenging side effects like substantial weight gain, memory issues, blurred vision, severe headaches, and leg spasms that led them to discontinue the medication. Several members explained that Lyrica and gabapentin work similarly but use different ingredients, so switching between them can help if one causes adverse reactions, though finding the right fit often requires trial and adjustment of dosages. A recurring theme was the importance of monitoring your body closely for any unusual symptoms, communicating openly with your doctor about side effects, and recognizing that what works well for one person may not work for another.

I have been on Lyrica for awhile now and I think the aches and pains everywhere have improved. Had some of the same side effects, but got past it! It has been the best drug for fibromyalgia symptoms in general. These symptoms of fibromyalgia are difficult to handle at times.

The thing is gabapentine and pregabeline (lyrica) they are the same thing but use different ingredients... So for example if your on lyrica and have a strange reaction then change over to gabapentine and vice versa... As a drug for fibromyalgia it's great, I was first on lyrica and it drove me insane, itching headaches, nausea etc... So I've been on gabapentine ever since and I'm on 400mg a day with so so many other drugs it does work but you need to see which one is for you x

I can't take Lyrica or gabapentin but do take Savella. I sometimes think it is not doing anything so I start trying to wean myself off....lol it is helping especially with the exhaustion...does take it completely away but helps..,.

Please be careful with Lyrica, I gained 70 lbs, don't remember 3 months of my life, told my boss he had a lumpy butt ( very funny) was taken out of work for 2 weeks due to over the counter overdose they called it. I'm afraid of the stuff now. Others take it with no problem but weight gain. God luck and watch yourself
