I tried Lyrica for about a month and my feet and hands kept swelling and hurting, so Doc took me off and put me on Cymbalta. I am currently taking it and we added bupropion for the apathy issue. About 45 days after starting the bupropion I noticed the random jerking as it( I call it twitching). Anyway feels like it does when Doc tests reflexes on your knee. I also have the shakes in hands and legs. This twitching though, he said shouldn't be due to the meds as I had been on them long enough before it started. He did suggest it could be due to the Fibro. He stated there is so much that is unknown or not reported with fibro that he could just test for lupus and parkinsons, both came back negative. It's been about 3 months since it started and sometimes it gets bad that mu husband thought I was seizing one night, which I have never done before. Keep an open dialogue with Doc so that can document everything. If you can handle the side affects I'd say stick with it it could just be body adjusting to med. otherwise let Doc know you don't feel right continuing with it.

Yep. Lyrica's a bad one. I tried it and did so badly with the side effects that they pulled me right off it. I'm currently taking a preventive for migraines (Mexiletine), which is in the lidocaine family. No, it doesn't prevent my migraines, which are only too happy to move in for weeks at a time, but one reason might be because the tremors are so bad, I can't get the dose up high enough. Even from a single pill, my teeth are chattering, my knees are knocking, and my hands are trembling so much I can't write my name straight. I say this by way of explaining that many of the medications prescribed for conditions like ours have tremors or jerkiness as side effects, and are probably not worth continuing unless you see a great improvement in your fibro symptoms.

I'm not sure but I think the Lyrica commercial says that may be a side effect but to see your dr right away as it could become permanent. Don't panic, I may not have the right commercial but do call your dr office and get an answer.

Alot of drug cause twitches as side effects. You should let your doc know because it can become permanent when just lowering it could make it stop
