Anyone just went cold turkey from lyrica? I did and my withdraw is not good. Really bad headache, nausea, dizziness and vomiting.
I am and have been on Pregabalin/Lyrica since age 16, now 24 yrs old. I have been through times when I have overslept and not had a chance to pick up my medication for the weekend so not had any pregabalin from Friday - Monday and it was one of the worst times in my life, I had spasms and twitches in my neck cause severe head.... shakes whatever, don't know. Could not sleep, had restless legs to the point where the were just flailing. I do not ever want to go cold turkey off pregabalin. The thought of this scares the shit out of me, so I suggest slowly coming off it. Do not go cold turkey. Please. Your body will NOT thank you.
I have in the past bad reactions with headache, stomach aches, dizziness, itchy, lost feeling. You should not go off this cold turkey. My Dr's have warned me. I've been on it for about 6 yrs
Jayep - Oh my gosh! Please be careful going off Lyrica cold-turkey!! That can throw you into seizures and you don't want that. If your symptoms worsen or don't ease up soon, please see a medical professional. I was on Lyrica a few years ago and when I wanted to come off of it because of the awful side-effects the weaning process took almost 4 months and was under the supervision of my physician. Please, please be careful. Blessed Be.
I did and got really sick
Honey, I hope it's almost over for you, too. Just, please, get medical help if you have any seizure-type activity, even if it's minor and you are not sure. It's better to be safe than sorry. Take care. Blessed Be.
