I had experienced weird symptoms like my body ( back or chest) suddenly started to harden up during the sleep with some internal vibrations, also felt kinda like burning or weird sensation in my arm and cuffs...and it was difficult to breathe etc.
Is this a part of FM symptoms? I'm confused here.

Hi Azusa, it's nice to hear from you again but I'm sorry you are experiencing this. Actually I
know the symptoms of internal vibrations that you describe. It was one of the first strange types of symptoms I experienced early on in my journey. So I understand it's confusing and maddening. Actually I recently learned that some people who have fibromyalgia are prone to automatic nervous system dysfunction. This means that things that you anticipate your body doing automatically such as breathing, regulating heart rate, controlling blood pressure and so forth can experience abnormalities with fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia effects you physically, emotionally and cognitively. It is very complex. If you have access to a specialist it might be a good idea to check in to ensure you are getting the best care. I do know and understand that unsettling feeling and fear of not knowing what to expect. I wish you comfort and peace.

I experience terribly unsettling buzzing and internal vibrations all thru my body. Even in my head and it’s often unbearable.

Thanks Liz. I feel more relived that it's not only me.
The specialists don't do much here, like they just prescribe you a Medicine

Those symptoms sound really unsettling, and it's completely understandable to feel confused. Some of what you're describing does overlap with fibromyalgia experiences that others have shared.

Fibromyalgia can cause a range of unusual sensations, including:

- Internal vibrations or "jittery" feelings — many people describe internal trembling or buzzing sensations
- Muscle tightening or spasms — muscles can suddenly seize up, especially during rest or sleep
- Burning or weird sensations in the limbs — numbness and tingling, particularly in the arms and legs, are recognized fibromyalgia symptoms
- Sleep disruptions — the body can go into a kind of "high alert" state during sleep, causing startling sensations just as you're drifting off One MyFibroTeam member described it this way: muscle twitches and weird sensations kept jolting them awake with pain right as they were falling asleep.

However, the difficulty breathing you mentioned is something that really should be checked out by a doctor as soon as possible. While fibromyalgia causes many strange symptoms, breathing difficulties always deserve proper medical attention to rule out anything that needs urgent care. Please don't wait on that one. 💙
