For The Past Few Months, I’ve Had A Bloated Feeling Under My Rib Cage. This, Along With Chronic Loose Stools Has Me Stressed Out.

I know I have IBS and irritable bladder, by my constant loose stools have me worrying. My GP said I have modersate stool load and a gasless small bowel and need to move more stool. Told me to use Miralax and Senekot twice a day for a month. I do this for a couple of days and then I’m miserable so I stop. I haven’t had a “normal” BM in a long time. I can’t get in to the Gi doc for another month. Anyone else experience this?

Hi everyone
I can relate to what your going through. Ive had loose stools for years referred to gastronologist in 2014, had colonoscopy everything was normal no ibs no bm no cealic would go upto 10 times a day whilst taking at least 3 gastro stop i would have to flush to toilet up to 5 times as it just floated. My symptoms changed to include a vile smell which to ages to disappear. My gastronoltogist order a frozen fecal test and an abdo ultra sound. Diagnosis EPI my pancreas does no longer produce enzymes to digest carbs, protein and fats, i now have to take enzymes taken from pigs before i eat anything even a snack for the rest of my life. I would suggest that if any should have this done if you dont have ibs to have this done especially if smelly stools

Yeah, I've suffered from all this before. And all the the drugs my gastroenterologist threw at me made my condition so much worse. Talk about not having control.
I decided to stop all the drugs and eat as naturally as I could afford. Lean meats, greens, organic when I could, very little grains. This helped a lot. Your gut is half your immune system. So it is worthwhile to find answers. Google "leaky gut". See if any of that sounds familiar. God bless you.

I have IBSD, I feel your pain. My GP put me on Colestipol Hydrochloride 5 grams twice a day. The DAY I started was the last day I had the runs.

The treatment they are giving you is what they gave my mother for a blocked colon. They put her on Miralax and some other drink that I can't remember right now. You may have a blockage. I know it sounds silly that you would have loose stool and a blockage but that is exactly what happened to my Mom. If you can try to do the drugs for a month and see how you feel. If it doesn't work I would as for the Colestipol Hydrochloride.

Best of luck to you and I hope this helps some.

I wanted to take the time to respond to this. I have had the same situation on and off for years, but I finally had to go to another idea. I gradually went to gluten-free, sugar-free, soda free, caffeine free, wheat-free and grain-free. I cannot eat pork, or high-fat Meats because it upsets my stomach terribly. The gluten-free diet has been the best thing for me. I try to add Fish and Chicken, but I really don't like to eat a lot of meat except for fish and turkey. If you try the gluten-free diet on a gradual basis so you do not shock your system, this might help a lot. I suggest you give it a try. Probiotics help as well. Hope you feel better!
