Hey Tucson/Sahuarita/GreenValley, AZ Area- Recommend A Very Good Dr Who Accepts New Patients And Will Actually Treat Fibromyalgia For Real?

I need a good Dr. who will actually treat the pain with pain meds and treat the other symptoms with whatever they deem necessary, but with stuff that actually helps. I just need someone who will listen to me and try to actually help me, instead of condemning me and making me feel worse than when I walked in their door. I get so angry at being made to feel like a drug addict because I want to have some sort of a quality of life by having something that helps me get out of bed and actually be able to walk without having intense, debilitating pain and something that allows me to play with my beautiful granddaughters and always be there for them. I am deeply frustrated right now because I just had to change Drs again because the one in the neurologist's office I was seeing decided to leave without telling anyone and I ended up with one I was not too crazy about. He didn't want to treat me at all and so told me I and to find a new Dr. to treat the fibro while he would still treat the restless legs and migraines. So I found a new GP and he has decided he is going to get me off of all of my meds and just leave my "body to deal with it in the proper way without all of that stuff". I wanted to scream! So if you have any advice in the Tucson area about Dr's I would deeply appreciate it!!

@A MyFibroTeam Member , here is a link for a fibromyalgia support group in Tucson. It is a .org website so it should be reputable. There are phone numbers listed. They should be able to help you. Ask lots of questions. I know what youโ€™re going through and there are doctors and people out there that can help you. Itโ€™s just a matter of connecting with the right people.
Please keep in touch with us. Iโ€™m praying for you.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒบ

Low dose naltrexone has helped me... I take 4.5 mg. Have to find a compound pharmacy in your area.

I have been trying the CBD oil as a supplement to my other meds. I am terrified that I am going to be left with nothing to control the pain and end being bed ridden because of it. Dealing with the depression and anxiety on top of the fibro, the depression and will ALWAYS increase if I have no meds, which then increases the pain and the no sleeping issues, and thus, running the hamster wheel begins! The fear of not having any quality of life right now is eating me alive....I have a life out there and I WANT to LIVE it!
I have been to both the internist and a rheumatologist and neither were willing to treat me w

Even though you have access to cannabis does not mean that you don't need a doctor. The best doctors for fibro treatment are Internist and Rheumatologists

Jerilyn-
I am just now learning about and trying it......it does seem to help but I haven't faithfully taken it every day as I should to have great success. I will be doing that however! Thank you for your answer to my question though.....I appreciate your thoughts!

I think cannabis is legal in AZ. Have you ever tried it? I know that doesnโ€™t help you find a helpful doctor but it might give you some relief while youโ€™re looking. I hope you find a good doctor soon.๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŒบ
