I told my doctor I was about to start work he said don't even bother signed me off before I even started! So I claimed employment and support allowance everyone is trying to make me claim for pip but I worry incase they think I'm lying or I'll have my medical on a "good" day. But definitely apply for esa xx

If you've worked for an employer & paid NI Contributions your entitled to Employment Support allowance Contributions based if you've been signed off by your doctor. Contact your local jobcentre. I would also put a application in for Personal independence payment, to do this go to the .Gov website & search PIP, but beware as its alot of stress & knock backs so i advise you to eaither contact your local Citizens advice bureau for help before making an application for PIP, or your local advocacy service which Citizens advice bureau need to refer you to advocacy, they will help with filling all the forms & mandatory reconsiderations then appeals (tribunals) no cost falls to you, but these are charity run organisations who get no funding whatsoever from government or national lottery, so if successful a little contribution (no matter how small) can help them, its not compulsory its just a nice way to say thank you is my thoughts. Iv been looking after my terminaly ill uncle for 2 months, I was working and looking after him but it all became to much so iv just had 2 weeks holiday, I can't go back as my uncle needs me to look after him full time now but iv got an attendance meeting with work on Fri and a doc appoint on mon, really unsure what to do but the idea of going back to work freaks me out as I was in so much pain everyday when I was there

I was self employed, turned down for ESA, but with the help of Citizens Advice Bureau awarded higher rate PIP. I honestly couldn't have done it without their help. Also to @Carlier89x when applying for PIP state your condition as you feel most often. They shouldn't dispute that.
