Members opened up about experiencing muscle spasms with fibromyalgia, sharing how these painful episodes occur throughout the body including legs, arms, back, chest, and even ear lobes, with some describing spasms so severe they've caused bruising, fainting, or trips to the emergency room. Several members found relief through medications like Zanoflex, Flexeril, gabapentin, diazepam, and amitriptyline, though some noted side effects like drowsiness or that certain medications didn't work for them, while others recommended Australian Dream Cream as a non-greasy, odorless over-the-counter alternative and checking potassium levels since deficiency can contribute to cramping. A recurring theme was the fear and isolation that comes with such intense physical symptoms, met with deep solidarity from others who understand the daily struggle of hands cramping around objects, waking up in pain, and needing constant adjustments to find what works.

Hi yeah I get muscle spasms really bad in my arms and legs but the worst place is my chest area sometimes it feels like I m taking a heart attack and I ve actually passed out a few times as I thought I wasn't able to breath..scared the life outa me . I m now on diazepam, amtripiline and servadol to treat the pain and stop the spasms.. I feel bad for anyone who suffer from this as it even happens in my sleep and I wake up panicking and not fit to move .
