Members shared their experiences with various muscle relaxers for painful spasms, with many finding relief from medications like Zanaflex, Flexeril, Robaxin, Soma, and Tizanidine, though some noted mixed results or side effects like drowsiness and dry mouth. Several members described combining muscle relaxers with other treatments such as pain medications, nerve agents like gabapentin, and anti-inflammatories to tackle symptoms from multiple angles. A recurring theme was the importance of finding the right medication through trial and adjustment, with members emphasizing that what works varies greatly from person to person.

Skelaxin is what I take 800mg 3 x day
I still have horrible leg cramps evert day...then the night have horrible ankle pain (cramps). Skelaxin doesn't help much.

The question was asked yesterday about Trive. Accordingly to the Web site I saw. It's a group selling what they call high quality food that is freezer dried. And a none of it is proven to do anything

I've been on Zanaflex for a few years. Used to wake up with big bruises from the muscle spasms I had a night. They were really painful. Haven't had any bruising since starting Zanaflex but do get a really dry mouth from it and I take it at bedtime because it makes me really sleepy.

I take Soma. Have been on it for a couple of months. I was taking flexeril, but had been on it for a long time, so my dr said I should switch...does help.

I take 2 robaxin (aka methocarbonal) per day to handle muscles, gabapentin to handle nerves and Etodolac for inflammation. My doc has me tackling from 3 different angles.

Yes I was out of flexeril for about a week and just got a new one yesterday called Zanaflex 4mg. I took one and fell asleep at 10:30 last night and actually slept all night for the first time in forever!!
