Dr.doesn't seem to be to concerned, I don't understand what causes it; what constitutes a high function and what are the side effects of this?. Is this common? Members connected over shared experiences with elevated liver enzymes, with many describing confusion about what causes high levels and frustration when doctors provide little explanation despite repeated blood work. Several members shared possible contributing factors including medications like methotrexate, gabapentin, and long-term use of co-codamol, as well as conditions like gallstones, inflammation, and ulceration throughout the digestive tract, with some finding relief through gastroenterology care and medication adjustments. A recurring theme was the overwhelming nature of managing multiple symptoms and specialist appointments while searching for clear answers about whether elevated liver function is related to fibromyalgia or medication side effects.

This liver thing..only reason I found out was I went to a dermatologist for spots, he said he givd me a tablet but I had to have bloods first,, then it came back hi I think cause it was a while ago and somrthing bout LDLs, I dont really understand,, I didnt persue it as my doc said nothing to worry about after second scan, and that I could of been born with it..I also thought it could be that I have been taking co codamol 30/500, for many many years. It is just another worry isnt it? Havnt really thought again till read something on here..But maybe we are all right.
