I use to have a pretty good hour glass figure...now I look about 7 months pregnant and it never goes down so it is like your normal bloating! Anyone else experience this due to fibro?

Members overwhelmingly related to the distressing experience of persistent bloating that creates a pregnant appearance and doesn't go down like typical bloating, with many identifying it as a fibro belly. Several members found relief through dietary changes, particularly eliminating wheat, gluten, and dairy, with one member losing 50 pounds on the Wheat Belly Diet and others noticing immediate improvements after cutting out specific foods. A recurring theme was the challenge of managing multiple fibro symptoms at once, including the bloating coupled with medication side effects, water retention, constipation, and the emotional toll of feeling self-conscious about visible body changes while navigating unsolicited health advice from others.

It may be food sensitivities , try eliminating wheat, glutten and dairy from your diet. It helped get rid of my bloated belly, If I have a small amout of wheat, my stomach blows up in about 20 minutes.

Once my stomach relaxes it goes down. I don't know of any other, more holistic method. I do know once the Xanax works I am a happier person!

I spent four years with this stomach ache. Sometimes I had to walk hunched over- It's horrible. I also take Miralx each morning, I add it to my coffee...might not help tummy, but it keeps me from being horribly, painfully constipated.

It's a Fibro belly - a symptom of Fibro. But what I learned from the Gastro who gave me a colonoscopy because I had so much tummy trouble - and found there was noting wrong- told me it was ok to take half of a .25 mg Xanax to calm my tummy. And it works. I even got a "note" to keep in my records to prove to other dr.'s that I had permission to take it. Everyone worries about Fibro's getting hooked on meds. But I also learned that Xanax metabolizes very quickly and it would take a lot to get me hooked!!! I also have used a heating pad and sometimes laying on my side helps...and sometimes a Diet Mt. Dew helps... I think it's the bubbles. I don't get stomach aches from meds unless I take them on an empty stomach!!
