I have the doctors Thursday so I will see how I get on its meant to help with sleep and pain.
Interesting, I guess I heard about a new medication that was recently approved but I didn’t pay a lot of attention to it. I’m one of those that the FDA recommended meds didn’t really work for. I tried Cymbalta for about 10 months and my anxiety was not good. I went back to my Venlafaxine which seems to help the most. In addition to that I take a Methocarbamol (muscle relaxer) every night before bed. I will say that does help with some of the muscle pain and the ability to sleep at night. Maybe this new med will help with all of it?
I am taking it. I just started taking I had a long stretch of of not being able to fall asleep at until 4 am.
I had the first night of restorative sleep in years. The second night it wasn’t as affective. Since I was on flexeril for 30 years until my dr stopped the prescription. My pain Dr recommended Tonmaya. He is out of town but I will let him guide my dosage.
It seems very strong and I would not recommend driving until you adjust to it.
It is expensive I think I pay 60.of pocket it is worth if it works.
I have RA, and OA with two major back surgeries.
@A MyFibroTeam Member wow thats mad! I am in the uk and I am lucky not to pay for medication I don't think it will be right for me as I have 2 slipped discs and arthritis so I need pain meds that work for fibro and my other issues!1
My neurologist prescribed it but my insurance company denied it up front and denied 2 appeals. It costs $1,900 a month so I guess not paying for it is more important than helping me with my quality of life.
