A friend of mine suggested it, so I am thinking about trying it.

I love my venture infrared heating pad. It’s awesome. I’ve used it for over six years now . Someone on here a long time ago told me about it. It goes deeper into the muscle than regular heat pads. Don’t buy from Amazon though buy from the company. Amazon ones break quickly. They also have other ones that fit on your knee, etc..

I have also enjoyed an infrared sauna on several occasions.
💛💛💛 My favorite is to go from an infrared sauna into a float spa. 🫠💛

I have also tried just infrared lights. I honestly can’t say that it made much of a difference. I was only able to try it consistently for about 60 days consecutively.
I did a trial from Hooga health.
At the time my autoimmune disease and others were completely out of control, so I’m not sure that I could be a fair judge. And I wasn’t a fan of how cumbersome the one I chose was.
I’ve been thinking about trying it again next time the run another good sale.
If I try again I’ll either go big enough to mount or go much smaller.

May be a good time to try with you healing from knee surgery. 🤷‍♀️
Maybe try a device that has a guarantee like Hooga does- it was either 60 or 90 days, I can’t remember.
I had to pay return shipping, but I thought that was well worth the opportunity to try it out.

Infrared sauna helps with my pain but makes my blood sugar worse so I have be careful. And ready with water and snack after. I have to sit and cool before I have energy to shower. I would check with your doctor because some can not use it.

Has anyone used infrared light treatment for fibromyalgia?

The search results don't specifically mention infrared light treatment for fibromyalgia. However, many people with fibro do explore various complementary therapies to manage their symptoms.

Some alternative treatments that have been discussed include:

- Acupuncture (which showed promising results in reducing pain scores)
- Massage therapy
- Tai chi (found to be as effective or more effective than aerobic exercise)
- Meditation and mindfulness practices
- Cryotherapy (though results vary)

A MyFibroTeam member mentioned trying cryotherapy after hearing it improved someone's symptoms by about 50%, showing that people are open to exploring different options.

Before trying infrared light treatment or any new therapy, it's important to discuss it with your doctor. They can help you understand potential benefits, risks, and whether it might interact with your current treatments. Some complementary therapies can be helpful additions to traditional treatment, but results vary from person to person.

If you do try it, consider tracking your symptoms before and after to see if it makes a difference for you.
