My chiropractor was telling me about using a red light to help heal arthritis. He says it's like using a laser but it's a lot cheaper. He told me a couple of stories about it helping to heal a burn wound and a surgical incision. I would like to hear any of your experiences or any info you might have about this kind of treatment

Members shared positive experiences with red light therapy for arthritis and fibromyalgia, with several noting benefits for muscle pain, stiffness, and wound healing. Many community members described practical options ranging from inexpensive infrared heat lamps around $90 to more advanced red light panels between $200 and $1,200, with one member highlighting a budget-friendly alternative through a Planet Fitness black membership that includes red light therapy and hydromassage. A recurring theme was cautious optimism about the treatment's effectiveness for joint pain and tissue healing, balanced with reminders to research devices carefully, start with lower wattage to avoid burns, and consider whether an in-office treatment or home unit makes more sense.

I love red light therapy. I get it super cheap by having a planet fitness black membership. They also have hydromassage which is easier than the chairs

Is he referring to an infrared light? I used to use one on my sinuses. Has helped me some for sore muscles too.
Worth a try. Not sure what the bulbs cost now. I would not want the highest wattage if I bought another. I got quite a burn on my arm accidentally once, so I am wary to use it again.

Sorry I cant help more.

Oh and so hi KellyLee!! Happy Birthday month to you๐Ÿ˜„
I wanted to say to you directly, that yes, I do believe you can get some very good help using the red light? When just looking it up again to find a link for this thread, I saw quite a few people, more than a few were older, like a couple in their 80s (lol safe to say no fibro) but of course issues w arthritis, one had bad knees, one their shoulder and neck, but they don't leave the house wo using it, and by leaving their house, I mean, to go hiking and being like, active still!!?! Whaaaat?? Lol.Anyway, it does seem to aid in healing wounds or injuries specifically but yes so many people that are using it for fibro, nerve pain, arthritis...

But anyway so I was just thinking you can start off maybe by visiting that site as it seems like this brand provides more general info than the others... just to understand what it is and why it works in general...and they list all of the different potential benes on there, I saw it helped even with vision, with teeth I think? And then maybe it will answer some of your questions and you can continue looking around for more info or opinions, or shop for competitive brands if you're interested? Lol.
I am, obviously ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
I think I may be starting to consider...a...gulp... purchase
I get sweaty just writing that lol
Lmk - oh, wait, so was it that your chiro provides red light therapy in office, or recommending you look into it for a personal home unit?
Lol. Who knows. Maybe it will help those with the inability to stfu already lololol bless their hearts LOL
Sorry! Too long argh
Happy Wednesday!!
Hope y'all are feeling strong and beautiful today, because you SO. ARE๐Ÿ’Ÿ
I promise!!!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜˜

I think yes, you will get benefits from infrared...but I think the true red light therapy devices have the infrared, as well as others only referred to as red, and its the combo that supplies the most benes? I've seen great reviews of a cheaper smaller infrared only heat lamp, here this is it - $90
Beurer Infrared Heat Lamp, for Muscle Pain and Cold Relief
1 EA, 5 lbs. Item # 328982
HSA/FSA Eligible

This Infrared Heat Lamp is designed to deliver infrared heat to the human body. It can be used for warming relief of colds, muscle ache and tension. The heat emitted by the infrared lamp improves the blood flow and circulation of the target area, encouraging muscles and damaged tissue to heel. The infrared lamp can also be used to support the treatment of bronchial congestion as it reduces inflammation, swelling and clears mucous clogged passages.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, LMAO!! That gave me a laugh!! Yes my chiro does it in his office for some different things and i was asking about it. His was $1,200!! I started looking at some and found several a whole lot cheaper then that. I'll check out that site you gave. I have arthritis all over but my chiro told me he thinks most of my pain is from the fibro! I was a little surprised to hear that
