I just got a red light pad. It’s not easy to use. The few times I have used it, I felt some short term pain relief.

Has red light therapy helped with chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia symptoms?

Red light therapy isn't specifically mentioned in the available information about fibromyalgia treatments. However, many MyFibroTeam members have explored various complementary therapies with mixed results.

Some alternative approaches that members have discussed include:
- Acupuncture
- Massage therapy
- Tai chi
- Meditation
- Cryotherapy

Research on complementary therapies for fibromyalgia has shown mixed results, and more studies are needed to determine their effectiveness.

If you're considering red light therapy, it's important to talk with your doctor first. They can help you understand potential benefits and risks, and ensure it won't interfere with any medications or treatments you're currently using.

Many members find that a combination of approaches works best - including medication, lifestyle changes like regular exercise and stress management, and complementary therapies that feel right for them.

Have you tried any other alternative treatments that have helped with your symptoms?

I tried Hooga’s red light panel- I believe it was a 60 day trial.

I ended up returning it. I could not tell any discernible difference, but my autoimmune condition was completely out of control at the time.
Next time there is another deal I’ll probably give it another try. 🤷‍♀️

Health experts say it’s like anything else- it’s great in addition to good sleep hygiene, good nutrition, daily movement, exercise, stress management, but not a replacement.

I think I saw you were getting a sauna. Does it use infrared lights?
