Sorry you have this too. for this I massage the area but not to much or can make it worse. I also get it all over my ribs front and back they ache burn feel heavy and feel inflamed for this I use ice packs. And Meds. Also I’m careful to watch for heart attack signs with it. However I feel like I have had it so long that I would know the difference at this point. But When in doubt best to get looked at in my opinion.

Yep it started gradually in April 2025 my gp prescribed Omeprazole and reached its peak with debilitating pain by Oct Oop
went into A&E twice they gave me morphine didn’t work , iv had codeine too that didn’t work , A&E doctor said it was fibromyalgia my GP said it’s not , I was so bad over Christmas but refused to go back to A& E , I returned to my GP , now being treated for IBS , I was given mederevine that didn’t work then it got changed to a modified slow release, still not working, iv tweaked my diet a little on the FODMAP , that showed me my diet wasn’t bad, I’m
Still on it , I have been referred for a gastrocopy, long waiting list .
So my observation is it’s fibromyalgia and not IBS ,
Iv had a massage and was told my navel was out of line , since iv been better who know and the strange thing is I was always bad during the night , it would flare up after 2am without a doubt as it was my wake up call and would last up to 4-5 hours,
Very strange is it fibromyalgia or IBS or something else? ?????
