Members responded to a question about ear aches and stuffy noses with fibromyalgia, with many confirming they experience similar chronic symptoms including ear pain, sinus congestion, TMJ issues, and tinnitus that worsen with weather changes and seem to migrate throughout the body. Several members shared helpful strategies such as using prescription nasal sprays, ear drops, Tylenol Sinus Relief, working with allergy specialists to rule out allergies, and short-term prednisone for severe flare-ups. A recurring theme was the exhaustion and frustration of living with relentless symptoms, balanced by mutual encouragement to hang in there and seek medical evaluation when ear pain persists for months.

I was going to an allergy specialist from about the early 1990s until when diagnosed with fibro in 2003. Was told at the beginning by a new doctor to Idaho that I was allergic to several things but not to worry most of the things only grew on the Western Coast. I knew he wasn't originally from Idaho then because there is ALWAYS at least a breeze in the summer. We joke if the wind stopped everyone in Idaho would fall over. And majority of our winds come from the coast. So took shots for years until I started working, I thought on getting this fibro thing under control.
OK! OK! I can hear all of you laughing at my nativity but wasn't alot known then.
Anyway in 2019 I returned to allergist because I was having problems all year around & nothing helped. He said that my body thought I was allergic to everything so was over producing antihistamines. He put me on an amazing nasal spray.
After all these years with fibro & learning about my body, I think it might be 1 more (Asset 🤔 😅) from Fibromyalgia. Fibro affects our nerves and years of chronic inflammation are part of what causes the other problems & diseases that can develop.

Trevor, i don't know if allergies are part of your health or not, but it is 1 thing that can be tested AND be treated. With so many other things going on with us we don't need the sinus problems.

I get the earache pain but it goes away. You are blessed to be able to stay in bed because this morning I had to get up because I was in so much pain!

I’ve had an ear ache for months now. I hope you saw a doctor Lucy and Trevor. I was told it can be a red flag, but rarely turns out to be serious. Waiting months as usual to see a specialist. Take care you pair.
