I take B12 mostly because I am a senior and also eat a vegan diet. I have had B-12 shots as well. Our health insurance requires us to have a check up every 6 months with bloodwork and our dr always checks are B12 level.
Hi sam, I've had covid a few times but not long covid, i don't think i was b12 deficient with it although I was never tested ..take care sam
I know all the B vitamins matter in lots of ways actually. That and Vit D.
Mainly across the board for many health issues.
So long haul covid is one of your many endless craptastic things to try and piece together?
I have a genetic mutation that keeps me from storing b12 so I've been on daily supplements from an early age. I got injections a couple of times before I was diagnosed, when my levels were extremely low. I will say my doc mentioned the down side to taking injections versus daily supplements is that toward the end of the cycle, right before your next injection, your levels will be lower. So with the daily supplements I don't get that decrease. Hope this helps!
In 1989 I probably had a nervous breakdown and I was given antidepressants. I suspect that I should have only been on them for 2 years at the most. We moved from fort st John in Northern British Columbia to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia (a requested transfer). Very serious objections from my 16 year old daughter, none from my 14 year old son, because his best friend was moving to the maritimes. My ex husband lived in Nanaimo and I was concerned that he would interfere with the kids. We also had 2 houses for sale and the realtor called me daily to complain about the tenants. My daughter was hospitalized shortly after the move with suspected Celiac disease. This kind of broke me and I cried all the time.
All of these issues were resolved within 2 years and I should have been taken off antidepressants. In 2020, 30 years later I was weaning off an antidepressant to change to yet another when I saw a naturopath about a rash on my arm. As we were talking she asked if I wouldi like to try something else instead of antidepressants and she made me a tincture of ashwagandha, lavender and I've forgotten what else. I was fine (the rash was caused by gluten intolerance). I still take lavender capsules in the morning and ashwagandha at night. I have stopped drinking alcohol every night and don't drink at all now, so will stop taking lavender for liver support when the bottle is done.
