Members reflected on the question of acceptance versus denial with fibromyalgia, with many agreeing that both feelings come and go in waves rather than settling into one or the other. Several members shared how their sense of identity shifted after diagnosis, describing the grief of giving up high-achieving roles and finding new meaning in smaller daily wins like getting dressed or leaving the house. A recurring theme was that acceptance is not a destination but an ongoing process, and that community connection and sharing experiences brought real comfort along the way.

I agree with Vic. It's a constant, life long process of denial, grief and acceptance, especially as new symptoms or issues develop. It's just part of the fibro roller-coaster but acceptance brings peace

I find that denial and acceptance are just part of this condition. It’s like an ebb and flow.

If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequencies, vibrations.

I know the feeling. One minute I can accept my new usual, then the next minute I get frustrated and angry that I can't do the things I used to because it takes too much out of me. Just seems like a vicious cycle.

I am glad other people are having the same problem and can relate.

Awww how lovely to individually reply to everyone.
I think we are very sensitive people, on a different frequency than others.
I'm guessing you went through some kind of trauma to trigger this!?
I believe we can untrigger it but its finding the code! If that makes sense.
I wouldn't know where to start with my findings but as I've been stuck in bed 18/20 hours a day and live by myself I've had plenty of time to research stuff I just believed stuff all my life as that's what I was told but never actually looked into it and this has lead me on a fantastic journey even though I sometimes feel lonely because of it. Most people can't grasp what I'm going on about or want to know and it took me months to get my own head around a lot of it.
I'm like a dog with a bone once I get into something.
I had an awakening a few years back and some of my thoughts were backed up through others when I looked into it.
In short we all Have an electromagnetic field making us antennas. Everything is a frequency, everything, even our thoughts and emotions, when we are happy, in love and joyful we feel light and want to skip around full of energy when we are depressed and low we feel heavy , slow. I hope I haven't lost you yet 🤣
I could be typing for the next month on this as that's where I am now. I had brushed the surface about 10 years ago when I looked into 9/11 and certain technology being used!
