I started getting botox for cosmetic purposes, but noticed it helped my tension headaches and TMJ/jaw pain. Mine usually wears off in 3 months and that's when I notice head/jaw pain come back. I should also note I only get it in my forehead, crow's feet, and between my brows. But somehow it still helps the jaw!!

I haven't used it exclusively for Fibro. However, I recently did first round Botox for chronic migraine- all part of the Fibro experience I guess.
So apparently the benefits if any will be felt after 2nd or 3rd round of Botox. Each round is spaced 12 weeks apart.
I felt no relief with first round but no side effects either.
Hope this helps. Blessings

My DDS recently mentioned my oral surgeon was using Botox injections for TMJ treatment. I consider TMJ to be a Fibro hitchhiker. I told her I wasn't interested because of the cadaver jaw I had put in for my dental implants, too risky for me.
