Members validated the experience of rib, finger, and toe pain with fibromyalgia, sharing that their doctors ruled out rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune diseases through extensive blood work that showed no inflammation. Several members described their pain as unpredictable and moving throughout the body, affecting nail beds, chest, ribs, and extremities, with sensations ranging from tingling and numbness to stabbing or spreading feelings, particularly during flares. A recurring theme was the frustration of having symptoms that make no sense and receiving diagnoses only after other conditions were ruled out through X-rays, bone density scans, and blood tests.

Yes, Sometimes when I get up my ribs hurt and even feel like my insides are hurting. This happens mostly when I’m having a flare.

X-ray will show if arthritis. I have in my toes and fingers and throughout my body. Osteoporosis too by a bone density scan. The ribs can be various forms of Costeochrondritis and or Muscular skeletal pain.

I also get pain in fingers, toes, and ribs. Sometimes, it is just the tip of a finger, or nail bed, like Maui. I have had complete workup as well..no inflammation, no RA, no lupus, nothing. 🤷‍♀️
