How To Ease Restless Legs/leg Pain?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

It's getting bad in both legs now even tho the weakness is still only in the left leg. The pain feels like it's in the bones and walking around used to ease it now it doesn't. Hot/warm baths don't help either

Members shared numerous strategies for managing restless legs and leg pain associated with fibromyalgia, with the most popular recommendations being compression socks or sleeves, weighted blankets, high-powered massage machines, and medications like Gabapentin, Lyrica, or Ropinirole. Several members emphasized the importance of keeping legs warm, staying hydrated, elevating legs when sitting, taking magnesium or potassium supplements, and using pain relief gels or antihistamines like Benadryl for additional comfort. A recurring theme was the unpredictable and exhausting nature of fibromyalgia symptoms, with members offering deep empathy for the struggle of sleepless nights and the trial-and-error process of finding what works, while strongly cautioning against stopping medications without medical supervision after one member shared a frightening withdrawal experience.

Compression socks/ or sleeves for legs. Sometimes a weighted blanket helps. I’ve also found an anti-histamine can help too (such as Benadryl). Magnesium lotion as well. RLS is the worst. :(

I haven’t been diagnosed with this but I would use both alternative medicine and pills. So, that u get relief from them. God bless!

I bought some light compression socks (as mine is only in the lower legs) on advice from a friend and it is working so far. I make sure my legs are really warm then put them on before bed. So far it has kept it in check.
