Advice On Funding Support For Aids.
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Random question.
Is there any charity's that help fund support aids for disabled people. Open to all advice. As I am currently struggling with lifting my legs over the baths edge (I have a electric bath chair). Also the stairs. (I have 2 banisters, but still manage to fall down them, so crawling up and down. Ideally need a chair lift). I tried the goverments grant, but they told me, that my husband earns too much.
I'm in the UK.
Many Thanks.

Go to occupational therapists. My dad has got a stair lift and wet room with a shower.

Has your town got a rotary club? Or the lions? They provide aids for people in my town. Also find out if you can get an occupational therapist to come out. I think you contact adult social services

My council adapted my bathroom so try them and there are various charities that also give aids to all types of disabilities. Try your local papers or online selling sites many have free stuff areas and you may find disability aids on them, gumtree is quite good for this.
