Ive dealt with fibro since 2012 and have tried all of these meds...

Gabapentin (somewhat effective but I felt crazy)
Savella (made me sick: dizzy, nauseous, clammy)
Lyrica (effective at first but stopped later on)
Cymbalta (effective for pain but the worst side effects)
Tramadol (candy for children)
Flexeril (works for normal pain level. Not in a flare up)
Amitryte(spelling?)(made me sick)

Now im just down to Flexeril at night but its not cutting it. What else could I try?

Members responded to someone running out of fibromyalgia medication options by sharing alternative treatments they've found helpful when traditional fibro medications caused intolerable side effects. Several members mentioned Clonidine (typically used for blood pressure) as surprisingly effective, low-dose naltrexone (LDN), medical marijuana where legal, and combining tramadol with Tylenol or Advil for better pain control, while others shared topical options like lavender essential oil, Aspercreme Lidocaine, or prescription Diclofenac gel. A recurring theme was the community's deep empathy for the exhausting trial-and-error process of finding tolerable medications, with many members emphasizing the importance of working with an understanding doctor and being patient with the journey despite frustrating setbacks and withdrawal experiences.

For pain I would suggest Nucynta, it is effective and has less opioids in it, so doctors are more willing to prescribe it. I haven’t heard much good about Lyrica and/or Cymbalta. I’m guessing you’re from the UK? As I have never been prescribed Savella. My husband takes Celecoxib (200mg capsules) for anti-inflammatory and he says it works.
I know it’s difficult with all these meds to find one that works and that the doctors will prescribe. Lavender essential oil helps with pain, relaxation/sleep, & and an anti-inflammatory. Plus it smells So good! Try Aspercreme Lidocaine, they also have a roll-on, a lotion, a spray (kind of a dry spray) and stick on patches for topical pain relief or see if your doctor will prescribe Diclofenac Gel which is generic Nueurontin with the added bonus of an anti-inflammatory mixed in it.
Good Luck & God Bless!
STAY HOME, STAY SAFE & STAY WELL ! ! !

You need to see an understanding Doctor and give him the above list of medications that haven't agreed with You.

There are many other medications that may help you just remember all medications have side effects, it is just how much you can handle and live with if the medication is working.

Just go to Google and put in the Search Bar "List of Fibromyalgia Medications" many you may have tried but there will be many more that you haven't.

Hope you find suitable medications that are working for You.

Like you I tried so many meds which i reacted badly to. My specialist put me on Clonidine (used for high blood pressure, ADHD and menopause) after he read some research about it possibly helping Fibro patients. We had tried everything he could think of so we decided to try it out. It has helped hugely and I havent reacted badly to it!!! It has also helped my partner who has Fibro as well. I take a 25mg tablet morning and night. 😊

i have fibro, arthritis and sjogrens syndrome. my mornings are terrible. like you i have tried almost all of them. the side effects for me are worse then then pain itself. i am down to 2 tylenol arthritis in the morning and at night and lexapro 20mg, robaxin 750mg, and zyrtec at night. i do take meds for other reasons and supplements. the withdrawal from the lyrica and cymbalta were terrible and i will not go down that road again. i have tramadol for the really bad days but try not to take it. the zyrtec helps with the itching but not 100%. i think that bothers me more than the pain.
