I've found that a really hot bath is helpful in relaxing the nerves and muscles. But the problem I have is I can't use all the hot water when there are others who need baths. And my tub is so shallow, it o ly really helps the lower body. Hot tubs are a little more expensive than I can afford, but I am sure I would benefit from the use of it.... Anyone know?

Members rallied around the question of whether insurance might cover a hot tub for hydrotherapy, with most agreeing that warm water, especially with Epsom salt, provides meaningful pain relief, though several noted insurance coverage is rare or limited. Several members suggested practical alternatives, including inflatable hot tubs that cost $300 to $400, tankless electric water heaters that provide endless hot water, replacing an unused bathtub with a therapeutic tub, or accessing community facilities like gyms with jacuzzis and saunas. A recurring theme was the importance of advocating with your doctor to document medical necessity and exploring creative solutions that fit both your budget and living situation.

My insurance a house ago (I'm an apartment dweller now) covered part of both my jacuzzi and my air bed

I love hot baths if I can fit my body under the water and relax, always makes me feel better, but has the side effect of making me sleepy.

I’ve heard that it can help pay for part, but that is not factual information. We have a hot tub outside, but it’s just hard going into cold outside to get to it.

I agree with the hot water, especially with Epsom salt. It's been years since I used a hot tub. My parents had one when I was growing up, they've gotten rid of it now. But I've been eyeing the so called portable ones. They inflate, but still have the jets and water heater etc.. There around 300 to 400 bucks. Or you may want to look into the new electric water heater, I've heard nothing but good things about them, they heat the water as you need it so you never run out.
