Members confirmed that foggy vision and floaters can be connected to fibromyalgia, with many describing similar experiences of blurred vision, double vision, and eye fog that their doctors could not fully explain. Several members shared specific conditions they were diagnosed with, including dry eye syndrome (often treated with Restasis), cataracts linked to fibromyalgia medications, iritis, and inflammation from pinguecula, while others urged the poster to see an ophthalmologist to rule out more serious issues like retinal detachment or bleeding. A recurring theme was the frustration of not knowing whether symptoms stem from fibromyalgia or another cause, and the importance of getting eyes checked thoroughly while also recognizing that fibromyalgia can affect vision in ways that standard tests may not capture.

I definitely get blurry eyes and it is from fibro!! This subject has been talked about many times on here and tons of people are affected by it! Definitely have it checked out but if there are no other reasons for it, I would definitely say it’s fibro and there’s nothing we can do about it!!

I used to work with ophthalmologists/retinal surgeons, and it sounds like you might have had a blood vessel bleed in your eye- you may want to go to a specialist for that! This happens more often with diabetics, and high blood pressure. Good luck!

I have used eye glasses since the age of 4. For the past 5 years since I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia my eye sight has gotten worst. Went to the optometrist and they found nothing wrong, my prescription changed just a little, but nothing major. I asked her if fibromyalgia had anything to do with this symptoms that I was experiencing and she said no. She said it could be when im tired that I start having doble vision, blurred vision, etc. Dont get it!
