Members enthusiastically shared their experiences with magnesium citrate for fibromyalgia, with many reporting that it helps reduce muscle pain, leg cramps, and promotes better sleep, though some noted stomach sensitivity at higher doses. Several members offered practical guidance, including trying Natural Calm powder, switching to magnesium malate specifically for fibromyalgia, using magnesium chloride spray on the feet for better absorption, and spacing doses at least 2-4 hours away from Gabapentin to avoid reduced effectiveness. A recurring theme was finding the right form and dosage that works for each individual body, with members also sharing creative sleep aids like lavender soap in the bed and emphasizing that magnesium is generally well-tolerated alongside other medications.

Magnesium Citrate can help calm nerves when taken with a glass of warm water.

I also use it for migraines. The magnesium tablets help with migraines.

You should avoid taking it around the same time as Gabapetin. Not sure about Lyrica. It diminishes the overall effectiveness of Gabapentin, you should space them out. From at least 2 to 4 hours apart. Magnesium is a listed interaction for Gabapentin.
