Yes! Not specifically for sleep but I thought I'd chime in with my experience. My primary care physician attended a workshop by neurologists. They shared about how magnesium can help people who have certain kinds of pain. She urged me to try it due to migraine issues. I'm not sure which form is the best to take, but I have been taking citrate since I have the gummy form of them. I do think it has helped me. She said that citrate can upset one's stomach. Overall, she recommended 400 mg if tolerated, and sometimes people need to build up to that. And they might have to switch to another form of magnesium. ๐
I take Magnesium Glycinate (same as bisglycinate) with added vitamin B6. I choose to take one capsule in the morning with breakfast and one with my evening meal. They give a total of 315mg of elemental Magnesium. I believe they have a positive effect on my sleep but the many other benefits that can be had from this supplement makes it one I will continue to take.
I find that a good level of activity during the day has the greatest effect on me having proper sleep but Iโm sure the Magnesium helps.
I take magnesium citrate and bisglycinate
@A MyFibroTeam Member, We're in the same boat. ๐ข
My pain management doctor said if I'm getting results is that it's not being absorbed. I take 400mg. I can increase to 1 gr. She said the gauge is soft stool. I apologize if this is not the appropriate term, but this is what she said. She said that some folks need higher doses
I certainly need to increase the dose.
