Recently diagnosed questions-

1. Any great pillows you use that help with the tension in your neck/shoulders?

2. Along with muscle pain, I find my ankles, feet, and fingers to be in constant state of stiffness and popping on their own. They feel broken almost always.

Any suggestions or tips on the discomfort this lends?

Thanks!

Members shared a wide range of pillow recommendations for neck and shoulder tension, including memory foam pillows, Tempurpedic, MyPillow, neck pillows, V-shaped pillows, and the Tricore pillow, with most emphasizing that finding the right pillow requires personal trial and error. Several members described joint stiffness and popping as a hallmark symptom of fibromyalgia, offering practical relief strategies like hot wax treatments, magnesium supplements, regular stretching, physical therapy, and keeping joints moving to prevent muscle atrophy. A recurring theme was the importance of persistence in managing symptoms, as relief is often temporary and requires ongoing effort through movement, proper sleep positioning, and tools like memory foam mattresses and body pillows.

I use a tricore pillow for more neck support if I'm having neck pain. However, if I use the tricore when I don't have neckpain, it actually causes more neck pain

I find I do the exercises and feel better but it all locks up again.
The trick is to prevent muscle atrophy or you end up in a wheelchair

I find a huge difference with my memory foam mattress, now I can't sleep lying down even on one pillow because the pain is unbearable so I am propped up with 3 pillows 1 is a memory foam pillow and I do find that good but I also have a 'V' shaped pillow which I really find helpful too xxx
