Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing loud clicking, popping, and grinding sounds in their painful joints, particularly in knees, hips, shoulders, ankles, and necks, with many describing the sensations as sounding like a one-man band or feeling decades older than their actual age. Several members shared that their doctors attributed the sounds to conditions like osteoarthritis, bursitis, degenerative disc disease, and bone-on-bone grinding from years of sports and physical activity, though many noted their symptoms began surprisingly young, in their late teens through early forties. A recurring theme was frustration with being dismissed as simply getting old despite relatively young ages, along with shared experiences of developing high pain tolerance over years of living with these joint issues.

@A MyFibroTeam Member That's what I was thinking. A bit young for it at 18-19 years old though don't you think? It used to hurt like all hell too... and then sometimes not much but I think I just developed an incredible pain threshold and kept going... I was after all young, skinny but in great shape and with one hell of a constitution, I could walk all day on nothing... rarely even more than a small glass of water, even at the height of summer. In my mid teens I actually did the same treks over the Welsh mountains that they SAS did, with the same weight of equipment and rations (but without the rifle and ammo) I just never thought about hardship so much...because of and despite the fact I was lost and had been through trauma earlier in life. I didn't start to find or really know myself until after the millennium.
It actually took the doctor 5 years to acknowledge it was more than a muscle strain too...
I'm pretty sure there's been quite a lot of wear and tear in mainly my lower back but also several other joints. I'm due a bunch of x-rays and a whirl in the MRI soon so we'll find out for sure...

That could be bone on bone in your joints. That was why my knee was grinding and poping.
