Members responded to someone experiencing shooting pains in the back of their head for the first time, with many identifying it as a common fibromyalgia symptom related to nerve endings, swollen lymph nodes, or pressure from hats and tight headwear. Several members shared their own experiences with similar head pains, including burning sensations, electric shock headaches, and numbness in the spine, recommending practical steps like keeping a symptom journal for doctors, trying medications such as sumatriptan, and considering treatments like nerve blocks or steroid injections (though some cautioned that nerve blocks may have limited success or risks). A recurring theme was the fear and frustration of these unexpected symptoms, met with warmth and reassurance from others who understand the struggle and encourage continued communication with medical providers.

It is one of the many fibromyalgia symptoms, you need to keep a journal of all your symptoms and show them to your doctor at your next appointment
