Winter is here and my symptoms are worsening; does anyone else notice the cold making their symptoms worse? I’m am planning to move to a warmer climate; does anyone notice that warmer temperatures help their fibromyalgia symptoms?

Members overwhelmingly agreed that cold weather worsens fibromyalgia symptoms, with many sharing that they experience significantly less pain when in warm, dry climates, though some noted that extreme heat and humidity can also trigger flares. Several members offered practical strategies for managing cold-weather pain, including heated bean bags from stores, warm baths with Epsom salts, and one pain doctor's observation that patients often feel relief in warm destinations but return to pain once home. A recurring theme was the body's sensitivity to weather changes, with many members able to predict incoming storms or temperature shifts based on their pain levels, and hope expressed that relocating to warmer climates might provide lasting relief.

yep! I agree too. The cold and rain and the too hot and dry are not good. I do best when the temp is between 70-80 degrees. Also, I get a flare starting when a storm is coming or a big change in weather!

Yep! Cold and rainy i used to enjoy but now it aches. And, like the others, exteme either way triggers symptoms. I agree with warm bathes with epsom salts.

Winters are the worst 😖. Summers are little better, but I’m noticing that humidity in summer is really starting to affect me.
