Hi all, wondered if any of you found any IBS treatment that helps you? I take buscipan, sillicol, Imodium on a daily basis and I’m still in pain and rushing to the loo most days. Amitriptyline helped (like a miracle cure) but one day a couple months ago it just stopped working.
I had dreadful IBS for years and eventually it got so bad thst i had a constant year of chronic pelvic pain from it. I had mulitple tests and i couldnt eat without being in pain or having food go straight through me. I found something called a 'low fodmap diet' and honestly it has been amazing! No more pelvic pain and no where near as many bowel issues. If I 'cheat'and eat something i shouldnt i get pain again. It isnt an easy diet (especially at first however you do get used to it) but because it makes such a huge difference for me I continue to stay on it. It has been life changing and a huge relief for me.
Dont take imodium too much it can seriously harm you. I normally use tums and eat bland food. Bananas are helpful.
I have been experience IBS or maybe Chrones. I have no warning or control. I also have suffered with bladder incontinents in the same manner. My bladder shows no issues including weakening. Surgery won’t help because no problems found.
Hard to leave house for even short times and often taking all precautions I still have experienced embarrassment in public.
I didn’t realize two more symptoms of Fibro. Trying to learn al info available and others experiences and how people have found relief to improve and restore quality of life.. Thanks for any helpful info.
I have mebeverine for my i.b.s. which is now diagnosed with i.b.d as I'm swelling up like a balloon I look pregnant some days 🤣
Tried peppermint tablets? Or colpermin which is the same thing just stronger
