I have officially been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia but one of the biggest issues i am having involves my stomach. I know that IBS can be a symptom but maybe i was prepared for how bad IBS can be. I have now seen three gastroenterologists and they all claim it is just really bad IBS but i will have flare up where i vomit for weeks on end with no relief. Members rallied around someone experiencing severe IBS symptoms alongside fibromyalgia, with vomiting episodes lasting weeks despite trying multiple medications including Zofran. Several members recommended the FODMAP elimination diet as a systematic way to identify food triggers, sharing their own experiences with cutting out specific foods like dairy, gluten, soy, and tree nuts to manage flare-ups. A recurring theme was the suggestion to seek further testing beyond an IBS diagnosis, with multiple members urging the original poster to rule out diverticulitis given the severity of symptoms.

You need to avoid dairy products. HOwever, if you do want to eat them ?? then you need to get OTC tablet's called: Lactase ( fast Act ) take 1 tablet, before you eat ANY dairy product.

It seems food allergies, especially soy, sets off an IBS attack. Pain from inflammation of the gut seems to be the worst, constipation and diahhrea is a problem, of course. As someone suggested, I'm going to try the FODMAP diet.

Maybe get tested for Diverticulitis. Your condition sounds a bit extreme to be only IBS
