I’m wondering if anyone else gets popping or clicking of joints(not painful just worrisome) seems to be worse when muscles feel weak. Happens in my shoulders when rotating them and hips at times. No one can explain this to me and my fear is always that i have something other than fibro
I have this in both my hips, and shoulders too. I remember my Mom's hips popping, cracking so loud, and now mine do the exact same. I think it is from stiff muscles that are 'blocking' the hips or shoulders, and when I do a 'pelvic bowl'....(a yoga thing where you move your hips in a circle), and when I do a really fast 'backward back stroke', I can get my hips, and then my shoulder to crack very loud, and then it releases...and feels better. This happens everyday. My back pops in a painful way now...where as before, (my back used to crack loud, and it would feel better....but the back is messed up with 2 herniated discs....well, the whole body is messed up too from this Fibro.)
I am going through that right now and it scares me too. I had my doctor test me for rheumatoid arthiritis again. Im gonna suggest an mri for my own piece of mind to make sure nothing else is going on.
Yes ive had this symptom since i can remember. Not painful but generally loud & i do find relief when stretching (turning to side) my back & it cracks. I just ordered plant/food based all natural non gmo multi-vitamin & a fish oil too i cant give feedback as i haven't started them yet but im hopeful that i will find relief... Your diet can influence your fibro a lot
Yes but you shouldnt worry until it feels and sounds like grinding with sharp pain. Mines always popped and clicked very audibly but my arthritis spread quickly and now my joints grind. When i do too much they also swell. Its agony so just take care and be vigilant.
I asked my physical therapist about this and he assured me it was mormal.
